What is the difference between mail hosting and web hosting email?

Web hosting plans include email accounts too, but those accounts share the same server as your website. Heavy traffic to the site or a security issue on it can also affect your email.

Mail hosting is a separate service focused entirely on email. It offers features such as advanced spam filtering, an email archive and user management. If your business communication relies on email, we recommend keeping business email on a separate mail hosting service.

Using separate mail hosting keeps your email running without interruption, even when you move your website to another provider or put it under maintenance.

Which mail hosting plan should I choose?

The 5 GB plan suits small teams and sole proprietors with up to 5 email users. The 25 GB plan is designed for growing teams of up to 10 users, and the 50 GB plan for teams of up to 50 users and companies that need to archive email for a long time.

You can move to a larger plan as your team grows. You can pay monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or annually.

Why do SPF, DKIM and DMARC matter?

SPF, DKIM and DMARC records prove to receiving servers that the email you send really comes from your domain. With these records set up correctly, your email is less likely to land in spam and your domain is protected against spoofed email.

Delivery also depends on sender reputation, message content and the recipient provider's filters. To protect the reputation of our IP addresses, bulk email (mailing) is not allowed.

How do I move my email to Nodesty?

You can move email from another provider to your new account over IMAP. First create your email users, then add the old and new accounts to the same email app and move your folders, or ask our support team for help.

When the move is complete, point your domain's MX records to Nodesty. DNS changes can take a few hours to propagate, so we recommend keeping your old account open during that time. Also update your SPF, DKIM and DMARC records with the values shown in the panel.
